RCCG History

Dominion Parish For All Nations started with Pastor K. Oshinowo, Pastor Mrs. M. Oshinowo, Pastor Oshinubi and two other families in Hounslow in December of 1996. The parish is part of  The Redeemed Christian Church of God U.K. and was formally inaugurated by the General Overseer Worldwide, Pastor E. A. Adeboye on thre 30th of March 1997.

Since the inception of Dominion Parish, the Lord has been faithful to us by saving, healing and delivering souls in an amazing way and by the special grace of God we have been able to establish parishes in Southhall, Bedfont, Bracknell, Kingston and a few countries in both western and eastern Europe.

However, The Redeemed Christian Church of God  originally started in Nigeria, West Africa in 1952 by the Late Pa Josiah Akindayomi. He was unlearned, but in a vision he saw strange symbols on a wall, which he painstakingly and diligently copied and then took the copy to relatives who read out the name the “Redeemed Christian Church of God”. The Lord established a covenant with Pa Akindayomi, similar to the Abrahamic Covenant. The Lord told him that the Church will spread to the ends of the earth and that when the Lord Jesus Christ returns in glory, He would meet this Church still strong. The needs of the Church and the members will be met in an awesome manner if members would serve Him faithfully and obey His word.

Pa Akindayomi passed on to glory in 1980 and was succeeded by Bro. Enoch Adejare Adeboye, who holds a doctorate degree in Applied Mathematics and was a professor of Mathematics at the University of Lagos. He is fondly known as “G.O.” or “DADDY G.O.” and is still the General Overseer of the Church. Under the leadership of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the RCCG is experiencing phenomenal growth in pursuit of the Covenant upon which the church is built.

Today, there are over 5000 Parishes of RCCG worldwide. RCCG is present on six continents and in U.K there are over 400 parishes. The most phenomenal program of the RCCG in U.K, is the London Festival of Life and also in Nigeria, we have The Holy Ghost Night & Congress, an all-night prayer, worship, healing and miracle services, which take place at the Redemption City’ near Lagos, Nigeria. The Holy Ghost Night, a monthly event attracts an average attendance of 500,000 people.
